Bridging Filipino Students with STEM Mentorship and Resources
STEMKonek is a mentorship and resource center that connects Filipino high school students with professionals in various STEM fields. The platform offers access to educational resources and inspirational content, helping students build confidence, develop essential skills, and stay engaged with their STEM careers.
Our research uncovered a significant decline in Filipino STEM students' confidence, primarily due to a lack of role models, resources, and mentorship. Despite this, students remain interested in STEM, with critical thinking and problem-solving being strong motivators. Representation plays a crucial role in keeping students inspired and engaged in their STEM journey.

Problem Statement
Filipino STEM students often face challenges in staying motivated and confident due to limited access to mentors, career guidance, and educational resources. Without proper support, many students struggle to fully engage with STEM subjects or envision a future in these careers.

STEMKonek is a digital platform that connects students with STEM professionals while offering educational and inspirational resources, such as articles, videos, podcasts, and career stories. This initiative provides students with guidance, skills development, and direct access to role models in the field.
STEMKonek is designed for Filipino high school students, whether in or out of the STEM track, who are interested or curious about STEM, as well as STEM professionals and mentors who want to support and guide the next generation of innovators.
